Ahh right, when do you guys finish then? I’d heard rumours BG had approached comet are they interviewing all your engineers?

ParticipantRe: British Gas Trade Test
Yes I know both of them, alan is a cracking bloke we were in the same team until they moved the patch areas around in December. The manager for the Cheshire area is a good guy too. The Wirral has always been a busy area the 3 engineers up there are busy all the time and its gonna get busier when this contract with a big high street retailer starts. Did Alan or Keith refer you?

ParticipantRe: British Gas Trade Test
Gas appliances are repaired by the gas side of the business so although a great qualification to have it will serve no use at BG, system refrigeration is done by one or 2 engineers max per team (average team 18-20 engineers) however ive heard that this will be contracted out in the near future. When you say merseyside if it’s he Wirral area I know the manager and engineers very well. BG are recruiting all over atm I’ve just recommended someone for Birmingham area

Hi there, the trade test is quite a basic test with multiple choice questions but any white goods engineer with any experience will find it very easy I’m sure. What area are you from and what patch have you applied for?

ParticipantRe: british gas
Hi,
ive been at at british gas for 9 years and tbh they are a great company to work for, previously i had worked for comet and service force. What would you like to know?? the salary is good, there is a easily acheivable bonus scheme and for the last 12 months they have been throwing extra money at us for doing the beko fridge freezer mods. Any questions just ask
