    Sorry. Internet connection went down, couldn’t order part. Anyways…
    There has been some confusion about the part I need. A guy that works in a parts shop has told me the part in question is a noise suppressor and can be bypassed, but I’m not so sure. Here is a run-down of what is printed on the part…

    D.E.M. 70092

    250V HPF 25/055/21C

    EN132400

    0.1 uf (x2) + 2.2 M ohm
    2x 0.0027 uf (y2)

    Any ideas?

    Hey, thanks for the prompt reply!
    Thought it might be worth a try, ah well.
    So, what exactly is the faulty part I have described? Should I take any precautions (besides the obvious – power off) before installing? If it is a capacitor, should it be discharged before disconnecting?
