Thanks for the quick response.

I’ll probably try replacing the thermostat. Is it a possible DIY job? With it being an in built unit I assume it is easily accessible once the fridge is removed from its housing. With the control knob being at the front/top I assume that’s where the thermostat will be.

Before I do this I might just see if the problem has sorted itself. This morning I unplugged the fridge for a couple of hours and then switched it back on – the glass of water I left in there doesn’t seem to be freezing up yet (although there’s nothing else in there). I’ll leave it overnight to see what happens.

Is it possible for the thermostat reset itself after being unplugged for a while?
