Thanks for the info on the blomberg 1515 aaa and for the bearing price.
Does it sound like bearings to you guys, or can anything else cause it?
It was bought in Nov 2001
On spin it is quiet at very low speeds but when it gets a bit faster you can hear a growly noise. I only noticed the noise in the last few days. If you spin the drum slowly by hand it is quiet, do it fast and the noise appears. Can’t feel any play in the bearing yet.

The other thing that happens is that the whole machine kicks now and again probably when it has an unbalanced load, like it is stamping the floor, maybe that damaged the bearings?

Any tips on changing the bearings? I have done this job before on other machines we had in the past (bendix and something else) but not had this one apart yet.
