ParticipantRe: Fisher and Paykel: Fault Code 131
the saga continues…
machine washed ok a few times and has again stopped with same fault code etc
to chk the wiring loom is it just a continuity from the RPS up to the controller board or do i need to megger the wires as well?
when i remove the 2 screws and the top cover, is the motor controller board the one attached to the inside of the cover or the larger board which stays with the body of the machine?
unless i can be sure the board is stuffed i’m reluctant to spend any more on the machine in a never ending fault finding mission. might be time to get rid of it, pity as what i can see of the motor, bearings, seals etc it is in perfect condition, no leaks etc
cheers, Dave

G’day,
Amazing how esay it is when you look at the markings on the machine!
Pulled the bottom end apart again and this time fitted the RPS into the correct position, as indicated by the arrow and locating slot. Cleaned the RPS plug contacts and squeezed them together a bit.
Goes like a new one!! 😀
Thanks Kiwireeferman for the advice, you have saved me a fortune.
Cheers, Dave

G’day,
Replaced the RPS in the correct slot, closed up the plug connections a bit, checked all terminations and accessible wiring from the bottom and looks ok. Same 131 fault code however.
Kiwireeferman suggested the motor controller board, I assume this is under the control panel at the top? How can I identify it, or is it the only board there. Haven’t pulled the top off yet.
Can I test the board, or do i have to just buy a new one and hope it fixes the fault?
Cheers, Davicgia
