ParticipantThats why i initially thought it was the capacitor, something along the lines of its on its way out, and it isnt providing enough current to the motor? then it clicks to turn the other way, but is fine. it is a weird one. But as soon as the cycle finishes, I turn it off at the wall anyway. Thanks for the help mate.
Dale.

ParticipantHi Dave, Nope, the dryer works as expected for around 20-30 mins. Open the door, throw laundry in, close the door, turn the dial and push start. works fine.
then as i said makes the weird noise, drum slows to a crawl, i hear a click and it starts to rotate fine in the opposite direction. When the cycle finishes, it beeps 3 times to let me know its finished, but the noise continues and the drum slowly keeps turning.Dale.

ParticipantMakes more sense, aside from the issue, the dryer is doing its job. (for now), just a pain that it doesnt switch itself off. When the cycle finishes, it continues to make that noise, and spin very slowly. Anyway, cheers Dave.

ParticipantThanks Dave, Are the relays a plug and play job, or would they be soldered to the main board? Had an Indesit before and the board was on the right side of the machine, near the base. Looks like the board on this one is possibly behind the main control panel. Thanks again.
