Good morning All/Electrofix,
I wanted to follow up on the fault I first mentioned above. After taking advice, and also researching the fault in depth myself, I thought I would take a punt on the fault being linked to the NTC Thermistor at the front of the dryer. With the part being roughly £10, I thought it was worth a shot. So yesterday spent a little while taking aprt my dryer, and replacing the ntc stat. I Put most of it back together, plugged it in, and turned it on. After about 15-20 seconds, the whole display lit up again with the same “E05” fault code.
I can see that there is a chance it could be the board from previous comments. How do I go about checking this? And is it likely to be a very specific part of the board (single component etc)? Any assistance is very much appreciated, as my utility room is currently out of bounds with a dismantled dryer taking over. I appreciate the board is a little more technical to resolve than the NTC stat, but hoping I can still cure this fault myself, before the wife goes out and buys a new one!!
Thank you all in advance.
Paul
