Right, it turned out that it was a loose connection, at the moment all is working well again but I think a new machine will be bought in the new year.
Which would be a reliable brand to buy??

Hello again, new card arrived this morning, fitted it now I have leds 3 and 4 and the door lock flashing, any ideas please??

Thanks for that, the tacho being the thing under the cap on top of the motor with 2 red wires going into it? you see the machine did exactly the same about 10 months ago but it just righted itself and has been fine all year until it started with a juddering noise, always before the dryer cycle started.
As for the card I have ordered it from EMW Electronics, they are reconditioned and part of the bargain is that you send your old PCB back to them, thats why I assumed that the card would be pre programmed as it has been in a machine before.dip52lil

Its recon so I would imagine it is already programmed, I have seached for the error spin led and door lock led flashing, can you shed some light on that for me?

No just a direct replacement for the original, it is a MK8 board.
