Thanks again for your prompt response Martin. Per the pic in the instruction it is mandatory not to have a gap. If it is not manadatory may be I will have the gap. Do you know if it is mandatory not to have a gap even for freestanding?

Yes Martin, it very easily slides it and infact there is about 20 mm space gap between the kitchen counter and dishwasher top. The instruction says there should not be such kind of a gap. Hence my question is should I increase the height of my dishwasher so that there is no gap?

Dear Martin,
Thanks a ton for your prompt response. I have now removed the clip. As said earlier I am placing the freestanding under my counter. The instructions also has a pic about not leaving any space between the machine and the counter. Is this applicable for my freestanding as well? I did check in the shop while buying and they confirmed that the freestanding can go under the counter. Now I am concerned if this will work with a space under the counter and not having ventilation at the back.Thanks,
