    I have e-mailed the pics to the moderator. the second one shows that I can connect everything up when the door is closed.

    Hi, I will get a picture taken.. I have managed to get it all hooked up with the door shut , but the tension when I open the door is too great and the whole thing pings apart! I must be doing something wroong!

    It is the oposite..it seems too shrt. There is a string that goes round a pully then a spring attached to a bent thick wire.
    They were still in place but the string was not connected.when I join it all up the tension is too tight..I did get it froim Comet.
