    hi pal thanks for your reply, the freidge/freezer has been powered off for a few months, i got it from a friend who was moving house and as i say the fridge lay switched oof for months, he told me he powered it down 1 day,and after that the fridge freezer stopped working,and now alarm and warning light was flashing……thanks

    thanks mate i will prbably got ahead with the repair, i just didnt want to touch the board incase it was perectly fine, thanks for all your input i will go ahead and do the repair on the board and i will post back with results either way incase its of use to any other members of the forum….Gary

    hi there, ive not went ahead yet with the repair, i popped into my local repair shop,i explained what was wrong, he said he thinks its the compressor, can i ask, would the compressor be warm if a component was faulty on the pcb? and if the compressor is warm also could that mean the compressor could be faulty

    thanks pal im gonna do it and get the repair kit dont mind taking a chance on £15, i think it is the board myself,hopefully it is !, im not bad at soldering and ive soldered stuff before with success, so hopefully this will work for me…thanks for all your help ,look forward to coming on the forum….Gary

    thanks mate i have been doing some research aswell and i came to the same conclusion, i was looking at the repair kit with the 9 components, block things and a capacitator, u think i should go this route as i dont have the 100+ £’s to buy a new board just on chance, u think i should try the repair first? …thanks alot for your reply much appretiated..Gary
