So sorry I should have come back before now, life is so hectic at the mo, who would have guessed it with 3 young girls :rolls:

Where do I start, first of all you literally cannot tell it is on, the loudest thing from it is the water entering at the beginning of the cycle, no wonder it has a buzzer, you never here the spin working!

Nice LCD display, even a non-modern man could work it, very self-explanatory, the spin seems to be just as good for ringing out the clothes as the old mangle 😕 , at least as good as the ari*t*n. Is it going to last I asked, well it certainly is built well and it also looks gorgeous, we have had many people admire it…..should have put it in the lounge.

Thanks to all you guys, some very helpful…..help. If it does go wrong in the next 5 years I will see if I can drag this thread up….who knows, hope I never have too.

Its arrived…yipeeee 😀

As it was raining (I am self employed trying to work outside!) today I spent 3 hours re-plumbing all the copper piping so that the Miele had a more comfortable fit in our conservatory/utility….it does look very nice.

Can’t tell you how it performs just yet as my wife done her favourite trick of doing a load while I was out for a few hours tonight and then leaving it in the machine until the morining ready to hang out!!

I will report back in a couple of days…..should have done a few washes by then 😕

I am glad I have caused some debate on this thread because I have learnt such a lot through you guys ‘bantering’ with each other.

…..less ironing will surely make the wife happy (modern man I am, but not with an iron 😆 ) 12 hours to go….even I am excited for some stupid reason!

Just popped by to say….and see the thread gone completely bonkers 😕 ….thanks to advice from everyone, bit the bullet today and ordered one, it is being delivered on Wednesday, so will let you know how we get on and more importantly what ‘she who must be obeyed (sort of)’ thinks of it (it had better be good)……..if I am still alive 😉

Someone told me last week, the reason we had had the bearings replaced 5 times in the in**s*t was because it is overloaded with washing, is that true?

Getting my order in Saturday for the Miele then.

Wow, what helpful folks on here.

I too help out many people on camera and computer forums, it is rewarding, even if one posters are sometimes annoying 😉

Thanks for the advice, I had already done the search for the machine on your forums and gleaned a little, I think it worries my wife spending near on £500 on a washing machine, but I see the logic, being self-employed myself I appreciate quality and so do my customers even if we don’t charge the earth.

As the indesit (I hate that word) is a 1600 spin, am I (or should I say my wife) likely to see a big difference in the dryness of clothes coming out of the Miele?
