Hi feefifofum
Thanks for your reply. As I will not be at my son’s for a few days it would be useful to know what the next step is assuming that there is power to the PCB.
Would this mean that the PCB is faulty if so are they repairable? Is there a particular component that fails and can this be replaced cheaply? Both my son and I are qualified electronics engineers.
Many thanks

Hi iadom
The Dishwasher is now working. It wasn’t the thermistor or the heater. It was a leak at the connector which joins the waste pipe to its extension. This hadn’t been found as the join was under the cupboards and on a non tiled area of the floor. The water level in the dishwasher wasn’t reaching the correct level to advance the program.
Many thanks for your help.

Hi iadom
Thanks for reply. To save getting the machine out and turning it on its side is it possible to check the heater resistance from the connectors to the control module? If so do you know which pins or is there a circuit diagram available anywhere on the net?
Many thanks

Hi iadom
Thank you again, I’ve found an image of the module (C00144658) which shows the NTC on a lead. I will post again when I’ve had an opportunity to check the fixing of the NTC and the heater resistance. Probably next Wednesday.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I will check the ntc when I go to my daughter’s next week. Do you have a part no. for it as I can’t find it on the Hotpoint website?
If the water is warm can the heater still be faulty? Do you know what resistance it should be?
Many thanks
Doug
