    Re: Hotpoint bwd129 error

    Hi,

I removed the top cover and the pressure switch seemed ok. I removed the waste pipe and blew down it and there was clearly a blockage, I guess in the machine somewhere.

I removed the front black cap covering the front drain filter and then blew down the waste pipe on the back again and it cleared the blockage (although I am unsure what it was as nothing appeared to come out that was capable blocking).

I put all back together and have done 2 washes since and both have completed without any problems!

    Massive thanks for your advice!

    Re: Hotpoint bwd129 error

Hi, I have drained and did find 1 small plastic piece around the impeller however it still seemed to move freely in 1/4 turns as you said. I have removed the pressure switch and blown into it and it clicks which I believe is the desired operation. I have blown through the tube that connects to the pressure switch and this also seems clear. Any further ideas whilst I have the unit removed and the top off?

I am in the process of removing the waste pipe to check for blockages.

Thank you for all your suggestions.

    Re: Hotpoint bwd129 error

It is not draining properly but am unsure whether that’s due to the machine interrupting itself or if there is a fault with the pump. I will drain through the front filter tonight and check the impeller inside to see if it is free.

    Thanks

    Re: Hotpoint bwd129 error

I have cleaned out the drain on the bottom right of the machine and found one hairclip however the faults above is after doing this.

I assume to check the pressure switch I need to pull the washer out and remove the top cover? I am a novice with this sort of thing so I guess I just need to check the that the switch is connected? Anything further I can do to confirm that this is the suspect part?

    *update*

the machine still has water In the drum and when I select the pump out cycle and try to start this I get the same error as the original post shows.

    Really am stumped with this…

    Thanks
