it turns out the motor had gone tits, ordered one and fitted it now the thing works perfectly again

there did seem to be something in the impeller but nothing substantial, when cleared it seems to run but its very lumpy on start-up, seems as though its lost some windings so the motor might be nadgered. i’ll keep an eye on it and see how things go.
