ParticipantRe: Zanussi ZWD1471S refuses to drain – E20 error
Just as an update – I’ve replaced the impeller and that seems to have done the trick (touch wood). The resistances across the old and new were the same, but the old felt kind of gunky to turn, so I guess something got into the shaft of it.

Thanks for the advice. The spades themselves look fine, and they were connected properly – is it worth trying to do a continuity check to the main board?
The impeller wasn’t hard to turn really, but it was stiffer than I thought it would be. Certainly, if you flick it, it won’t spin freely – but I’m not totally sure what to expect.
That said, I found one new for a tenner, so I might just grab it to compare 🙂

Well, the pump was humming previously when it was still blocked – it’s only recently that I’ve noticed the noise gone.
To be honest, it’s been a bit of a saga. Originally, we started getting E20/E10 during the drying cycle. I opened it up, and the condenser was full of crud, so cleared that out. Then got E20 draining a bit later on. Checked the filters, large chunks of crud (related to the condenser clean out, possibly..), got rid of E20 for a while. Came back, checked the black piping inside. Found what looks like a lens out of a kid’s toy or something. Got rid of E20 for a while. Now it’s back again, except it’s this last time I’ve noticed the pump not humming.
I’ll have a look at the PCB though – I doubt I can replace bits easily, but I can certainly wave a soldering iron at any dodgy looking joints.
