    Hi Martin,
What would be the easiest way to test that? Presumably it’s on the same circuit as the pump?

    Dear All,
just to conclude this one, I tested pressure switch, which seems to be working fine. Checked all connections including earths. Problem persists, so I think it is the control board that is damaged. This makes the machine beyond economic repair. Used control board/front panels are available for about £30. I can see no point in that as they are untestable by me. A new one comes in at about £150, which seems to me like a deliberate way of making the machine economically unrepairable.

Thanks so much for help received here. Hope this thread is useful to others.
The machine was heavily used domestically, and ran for about 5 years.
I recently replaced the door seal (inexpensive but very fiddly), but otherwise it had no other problems until now.
Some reviewers reported early bearing failure on this model, but we saw no signs of that.

I guess I test the pressure switch?

    Hi Dave and All,
I checked that the pressure switch (black) tube is clear, and that the air chamber, located at the back right, is also clear.
Also check the drain hose for blockages.
I checked the new pump. It has a resistance of 193 ohms and it runs outside the machine when 240 volts is applied.
So I tested it again after checking hose and top black tube and air chamber on outlet. I ran rinse and spin.
It STILL stops when the pump is supposed to activate, and says CLEAN PUMP.
Do you think the pressure switch has failed?
    What else could I try??
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Dave,
Many thanks. I will have a look at this switch and tubing and report back here.
    Cheers
