Hotpoint FFFL2000 fridge/freezer – fridge not cooling

This may be the same problem I’ve had with mine from approx 13 months from new (approx 5 years + ago)
Every 4 months or so I have to pull out the plug, remove the freezer draws. Take off panel (need to Disconect fan connection once all screws out, panel moves forward enough on wires to allow access to Disconect ) you will then probably see a big block of ice that you need to melt with hair drier, reassemble (I don’t bother putting screws back in as back panel stays put (draws help hold it in)
Important DISCONECT FROM ELECTICAL SUPPLY before doing the above and then only if you feel competent to do
Read this many years ago seems they put a sensor in the wrong place

Ps I have done this so many times so become complacent didn’t unplug and got a shock when disconnecting fan, so you have been WARNED
