Ahrrrr Ha, Got my F&P all assembled at long last.

Put a load through yesterday and another load through today, what a nice feeling to have it up and running like a swiss watch again.

I made a start on my GW701, I pulled it apart, a big job this.

So far I have discovered a cracked in half nylon gear which slides onto the “top” of the main shaft.
The inturnal splines look as though they have been flatened, my “spare” is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} better than this one.

The “top” bearing is siezed up, there is rust on the top part on the bearing, the main seal looks like it has leaked.

I have a spare bearing here, so no probs.

I noticed there are “polling” marks on the magnets, I put this down to the faulty top bearing.

Bottom bearing is OK, looks like the previous owner regreased that one, but didn’t know about the top bearing.

Have to check the top bearing housing to make sure it is not scoured, if it is so, I’ll have to shim it up.

Back to work to assemble this machine.

I appreceate your help and apologise for the time before I got back to you, had 2 seperate emergencies here that just couldn’t be putoff to 2nd place.

OK back to the F&P.
I am lucky enough to have a spare W&P drum outside in the open to practice on.
I have removed the motor hub with the magnets.
Removed the 4 long thick threaded bolts
Removed the stator.
Removed the huge nut

Turned the tub over right side up.

Removed the agitator itself (took some effort), used sewing machine light oil to give a hand here.

Removed the 3 screws holding a wide plastic retainer
Removed a (stubbon) small nylon gear which slides over the main shaft.

OK I’m STUCK here, there seems to be a semi transparent nylon thingie with a heep of square depressions in it, there is a small deeper grey nylon thing close to the main shaft, with 4 small slits in it, does this remove also?

It seems to be stuck fast, how do I remove it? is it a threaded item? if so, what direction do I turn it to remove it? Clockwise or anticlockwise.

Once I am to the part to drive out the main shaft, which direction should this be done, drive from inside, or drive from the outside (motor end)
