Latest update.

I replaced the main controller board and now everything has been running smoothly for one week. Therefore I suspect the problem has been caused by the main board which was a recycled replacement to the first one. Luckily it was still under warranty.

Ok, my problem is back. Every time the machine starts pumping water I can hear the pump starting and stopping After a while I get the error code
0 0 1 1 1 1 1 0 and it beeps continuously. It has been cleaned and this is a new pump.

Any suggestions?

Any other test I could do?

In our household this is a state of emergency.

Finally I bought a new pump for 83nz$ and installed it. I have done 5 washes today and everything works fine.

I am still happy that I did the clean up (10 hair clips less to cause trouble).
The machine is really easy to work on. Taking the inner drum out was a breeze. Everything is really modular making it easy. Saying that in the 5 years I had this machine I had to replace the control board and now the pump. With kids this machine is doing a lot of work of course. I hope that’s going to be it for a while.

After the machine gave the same error code later in the day I took the inner drum out and gave it all a good clean.

It took me about an hour and a half to take the drum out, clean everything and put it all back together. I took quite a view picture and if anybody is interested I can give a reasonable description of the process.

I found another 5 hair clips and some small stones in the sump (the kids like to collect them in their pockets). I don’t quite understand why that part is not easier serviceable since there will always be stuff landing down there.

Anyway after everything was put back together I gave the machine a few test runs. In the first test run the machine gave the same error code in the next 2 ones it was fine.

I felt the pump after the draining and it was reasonable hot (I had to take my hand of after about 3 seconds). Is that to hot?

Should I replace the pump?

Is there anything else that I should check before I replace the pump?

If you have any ideas please let me know.

Thanks for that info. That means the machine might be working properly now.

Ok, here is what I did.

I took the washing machine outside and took the actuator out. Then flushed lots of water through the drum (with no pump installed). Then had a look with a torch through the slots in the bottom of the drum to see where the pump collects the water from. I could see some black stuff. With a magnetic screw driver I dislodged and retrieved 6 hair clips. Some of which were quite rusty.
I flushed the drum again and reinstalled the pump.

The machine manages to pump out all the water now and finish a wash cycle. However the pump still stops shortly a few times during the draining.

Is that normal?

What is the best way to hoik out the inner drum? Are there any tricks? What is the best order to do it?

I think there could be still more hair clips in there.

I tested the pump on the bench and it seems to work fine. It draws 0.7 amps as indicated by the label.

Am I right to assume that there might have been a blockage causing the pump to draw to much current?

The hose is clear. Is there any good way of cleaning the area before the pump? I am planing to take it outside without the pump and blast it with the garden hose… that might work I guess.

Ok, after some reading I think the lights I am seeing are displaying error message 62 which apparently means that the pump is drawing to much current. Can someone please confirm that.

Anyway I have put the machine on the side and taken the pump out. the pump is clean and rotating freely. there seems to be no sign of water.
The resistance over the pump is 35ohm.

I can feel some dirt when I stick my fingers into the side holes where the pump was. Is there any way of acessing that area and cleaning it out?

It would be great if somebody could help me with this. Do I need a new pump?
