ParticipantRe: indesit 6145 overfill flood………tips help please
a clean as instructed removed a fair amount of disintegrating black matter, and a piece of paper about 1cm sq area… i guess it is possible to obstruct the clear tube and therefore not vary the pressure in the pressure sensor. i will report back if this clears the problem, as i have not seen the clearance of this air lock tank mentioned in respect to overfill until this site.
thanks very much for all your pointers, and hopefully this is it.

sorry,
seemed the best way to exxamine things.
one thing i have found. the air lock chamber that connects to the clear tube which goes on to the pressure sensor has definitely got gunk in it. i inserted a small peice of plastic into the main drain past the circular removable filter and it cam eout with debris on it. i guess that if this area is gunked up, it would stop the water being able to build up the pressure that will trigger the pressure sensor. i will do as you say and get the machine the right way up. i wonder if there is a good way to completely clean this part of the air lock/drain, and if this could be the problem.
if not i will get on to the engineers
thanks for your help

the tube is clear…as the machine is upside down i can only see that the clear tube from the pressure sensor goes into the area on the top of the sump (large white plastic main drain section from the dishwasher). how i check this i am unsure.
is there any clear way of checking the pressure sensor

thanks dave
dg6145.
the dishwasher is apart at present, and will have a look for this sensor. what is my next move…could there be a blockage. the flooding is random, and is not stopped by the anti flood float mechanism. my father has tested that, and it is in full working order. could i be looking at
a at best, a blocked pipe to the sensor.
b a blocked sensor
c a failed sensorif i need to replace, any ideas wher to get this piece, and in your considered opinion, is this a cost effective move considering the rolls royce build of my indesit!!!
thanks for your reply, and any further help you are able to give
rob ( situated well away from any electrical connections!!!!!)
