hi again. just in case someone has the same issue please follw the link to instrustions on re-programming the software. dead simple despite its sounding. worth a shot before throwing it in the bin.
seems likely to be the induction rings themselves and at £280 a piece its just not worth it as there is still a chance its the electronics at nearly £300.

in answer to your question, its just those six lights i mentioned that are flashing. all at the same time a couple of times a second.

would you mind pointing me in the direction of the stat please. and by safety stat do you mean element temperature stat? or just a stat for the internal temperatre of the unit.

thanks so much brian for the fast response brian. didnt go into it as i never figured anyone would know
of the four ‘cycle lights’ 1,3 &4 will flash with no.2 alternately.
