    Re: Candy CIC60 Heater Element

As I said, the side panels cannot be removed.

I have it done now. Had to remove the front fascia, door, some of the plastic mouldings, and the front mount for the drum. This allowed me a 5 inch access along the lower right edge between the drum and the side panel and I managed to attach the new heater connectors, one handed, through this access.

A poor design if ever I’ve seen one!

Reassembled and working now although I have the other minor pre-existing fault that the ‘on’ button needs jammed in or it doesn’t stay on. I changed the switch but apparently there’s a relay somewhere which may be at fault.

    Re: Candy CIC60 Heater Element

    Hi

I bought a heater element assy for my CIC60 but cannot see how to get to the connectors for the wiring.

Removal of the old heater is easy enough but the wires go through a small hole into the back of the dryer and since the rear and both sides are made from one piece of sheet steel I assume I need to access the heater wiring from the front which looks like a complete strip down job.

Can anyone suggest the simplest way to reconnect the new heater?

    Thanks

    Paul
