check its burnt out before you order

am expecting one of the cams to be burnt or broken

So I tested the lower element and the thermostat behind the control knob with a multimeter and got nothing on continuity test. The upper element i got a response but I knew that was working anyway. The thermostat bulb lights up but the actual thermostat nothing when tested, the thermostat clicks when turning the knob though. I’m no electrician or expert.

All the heat must be coming just from the top element, not sure whether to invest money in an old oven or just replace it. It does work but just very slow to heat.

Also the selector switch looked ok.

Thanks for your help, I’m going to pull the cooker out tomorrow, I am going to check everything with a multimeter and look at the selector switch condition, I will let you know.

    Hi,

OK thanks very much, will have a look at that, not an expensive part.

    Thank you.
