    new timer fitted. all working.
    the timer i brought was a different one to that fitted. came with the attached leaflet.
    note that the diagram of the drier does have a different timer so making 3 alternative ones now. Invensys, Bitron, Phoenix.

    Many thanks. that certainly looks it. Machine is 7 years old and stopped heating. so looked at heater, then float switch (as warning lamp has never worked) the rubber propeller is good!. then ended up at the timer. So now pretty conversant with this dryer. Pleased as this is a basic dryer with little electronics so looks very repairable. And now with a schematic so will keep it working for as long as i can.

    fault is the timer/controller has no connection to the heater (orange) wire. open circuit. suspect burnt out contact within the controller.
