Re: Samsung RS21 DPSM temperature not changing

    Hi. Thanks for the reply.

I was a bit pushed yesterday but put a cup of milk in fridge and changed offset for fridge to zero. Set fridge to 1 degree and checked it this morning to find digital thermometer showed 4.2C.

The cold water has been quite warm fairly consistently which is new and made be investigate further.

If I put into power cool the Temp on panel is neanr to drop to -4 but display stays at 1C or found yesterday (with offset of -3C) rise to 3C!

I find the fridge temp display to not reflect the actual internal temp and almost never changes if door left open.

May need to check the resistance of components from PCB cables and even test freezer (ice cube maker a pain to take out) What values for Freezer & Refrigerator we would be OK? Still to remove evap cover in fridge, busy busy.

I lifted the freezer door hinge cap and see the white thermistor but disappears with a bundle of wires for the display panel down the LHS of the fridge. How to test though? I removed the PCB at the rear of the unit when cleaning and has code DA41-00388J. Would a suffix make much difference if replacing the board such as 00388A?

I was looking today and find both the freezer and fridge aren’t getting low enough temperatures with freezer showing about -16 lowest but currently -13 degrees (set panel to -19) and fridge 5 to 6 degrees (panel set to 1 degree).

The fridge is colder higher up also. The only thing I can say has changed recently is replacing the fridge defrost thermistor and did notice a little ice around the heater/evaporator behind the cover but not lots.

Tried altering the reference value (1) for fridge to offset temp by 3 degrees to no avail. Will have to remove evap cover and check for ice and seal again.
