    Hi stonechatz

No there isnt a tilt senser, and dont be doing that incase you cause damage or blockage to gas system.
    IMO = In my opinion.

    Just a quickie…..
Has the fault occured whilst freezer has been empty or did you empty it because of alarm activation??
Frost free fridge freezers should never be run with freezer empty, it really does upset them 🙄 and can cause an upset with the general balance of the defrost cycle.

    Hi
Thats odd because they usually start at -18 as this is the eco setting and minimum really for safe freezing 😕
I would IMO get this checked by engineer just to make sure 😉

    Just to add.
Never ignore an alarm, they are there for your interest.
Full or partial defrost is imminent and may render food useless and maybe a danger to your health.

Re: An annoying little alarm from Siemens

-16 😯 , It doesnt allow selection higher than -18. It sounds like you have a defrost problem in the freezer.
These machines are quite involved and would seriously consider locating an engineer from link below.
Just before you bite the bullet, have you done any of these recently?
    1. Left super freeze on for a mad length of time
    2. Freezer door been left ajar for a period
    3. Over filled freezer

What you could do is turn it off for 24hrs and see how it goes, if fault re-occures then engineer time.

Same reason VW Sharan is labelled also as a Ford Galaxy 😉 they all at it. Lada Riva is an old Fiat Miafiori , the list is endless.

    Hi Lou
Ask hubby witha multimeter, to check( unplugged) each pin of plug top to the suppressor and make sure that there is no break in the cable. Anything more and I really think you may need an engineer Im afraid.
