Not a bad job, as with most bosch and siemens.
I would not recommend using appliance until fault rectified IMO.Greg

I cannot find that appliance probably due to age.
From what you have given me I would look at thermostat.
Guessing now ok, I would imagine it is piggy backed onto selector switch.
with it turned on to any degrees setting you should have continuity between common and feed to element. Where you are, I would imagine you nearest BSH engineer is Sigma in Chester.Greg

If I was doing the repair I would check what you have done, ie blockages and water in drip tray. If all checks out ok I would then go onto Water indicator (481227128407) and change it. Last resort I would change the PCB/module (481221478429).Greg

Yes Bryan its a possibilty,and tracking over of carbon dust.
Miele have that sussed by spring loading a plastic peg through the centre of the brush; when the brush wears sufficiently low enough to erode through to peg, it shoots out a retracts the brush away from the com and prevents damage to com etc, excellent design. God Ive wandered off again 🙄Greg
PS Although timdowning may be on to something aswell, making elecronics think that water is still in drum, a few pointers anyway 😉

I would imagine water in the base (under the main wash tank) due to a leak or overfill.Greg

What problem are you having with the oven and we will try to help.
