OK… final attempt – what I described above was with the machine sitting with a fair amount of water in the bottom having failed to drain before.

I just bailed it out and ran a rinse cycle again with virtually no water sitting in it. In this condition, the pump does sound like it is running longer and properly, but there is no movement at all in the left hand side chamber. When I open the door, the small amount of water sitting in the sump froths up.

I am thinking this means that it could well be the non return valve being blocked that is causing this…?

If I could find some instructions on how to remove the pump to check that, I think I could do that… any chance anyone can help with that?

The pump is not working. It now just sounds like it is starting to run, but then it immediately stops. Does this 3 times, then nothing. No sign of any movement in the chamber. Not sure, but maybe some sign of movement in the water in the machine, but it only starts trying to run for maybe 1 second, so difficult to be sure.

I guess I am at the point where I will have to call someone out if there is no other advice. Quite frustrating as I do believe that given a proper service manual, I could take whatever needs taking apart out and sort it out myself. Thanks for your help anyway, do let me know if you have any other thoughts.

Hi again. I think I can see where you are saying the outlet water flow is having taken the left side off. See these pics:

I think the chamber on the close up photo is the one you are talking about?

Unfortunately I can’t see how I can get into anything to check for a non return valve or any other blockage.

I tried popping the hose out of the little retainer below the chamber, but not sure if I can disconnect it here or not, seems pretty well stuck together…

It does look quite clogged up on the left hand side generally… is that normal?!!?

Any advice based on these pics would be very much appreciated, thanks a lot…

Yes, have had the outlet hose off, drained it out, looked all the way down it and it looks totally clear. Sink drain that it connects into is draining absolutely fine.

I can’t be sure if the pump is spinning, but it sounds like it to me. The noise I mentioned is a strange whirring it makes when it is trying to drain and failing. Maybe I can record the noise and put it here so you can hear it…

Short of that, I think I am out of ideas on this, very frustrating!!

Well I tried it. I think the pump was spinning (this time in air with the cover off), tried it several times, but nothing came flying out. I got my tweezers in again, and it is now all cleaned out to very spic and span! Unfortunately, when I put the cover back on and filter back in, run a rinse cycle I just get exactly the same thing… runs to the end, fails to drain, E25 error.

Anyone got any other ideas? Or can anyone advise how to remove the drain pump to have a closer look at it?

    Thanks!

OK… intriguing? What makes you say that? The sound it makes when it tries to run is kind of a nasty mechanical whir… I am thinking the motor is burnt out, but maybe not. I have dug around with long tweezers, will try again. But as I say, the impeller is spinning freely, not stuck.

For running it with the cover off, how do I run it without letting it fill, and why do you say do that?

    Thanks a lot!
