Thank you Bob. Sounds very feasible. I left a message (phone & e-mail) with a local engineer, after searching on this site. Unfortunately he’s not got back to me. I don’t really want to approach Whirlpool as this is likely to cost me more than I can afford (as a new Dad!). As a mechanical engineer and knowing a few electrical/electronics engineers, I believe that I could tackle the job myself. Where could I get a layout drawing and a wiring diagram from? I’ve searched hard on Google with no success. Thanks again.
