Re: Zanussi FJS1425W stops mid-cycle for no apparant reason
Seamy: As stated in the original post, had already done everything you suggest – and the machine worked OK for a while. It is steadily getting worse, so whatever the fault is, I did not find it.
What I was looking for was whether anyone has experienced this sort of problem, either with this or similar models, or with the pcb, which I know is/was used in many different machines by many different manufacturers. Such as specific problems with the loom, including all the push fit terminals, due to age degradation. This would lend some focus to my investigations, since I cannot find any signs of wear and tear – but then although I have a lifetime of experience repairing household appliances, very few have been washing machines so I could easily be missing something. Is it possible that there really is a fault with the pcb? It is a lot of money to spend if it proves not to be the case.
