Thanks for the reply ( smacks back of hand for sumo on dishwasher ).
I will have to give it a stripdown, yes it is gunged up.
The 55v may be misleading, you know what digital meters are like.
So far this has taken me a few days as I am not fully fit, and in the meantime have ordered a new Bosch.
I will play with it as and when I am up to it and let you know if I get any where.
