    Hi Spimps, many thanks for responding so promptly.
    I did what you said, but the capilliary is 1.3m long, has to go across the top of the fridge and then drop down the back to the concealed chiller plate. After I push in the first 50cm of the capilliary it seems to hit the back, bend sideways and curl back under the top cover of the fridge – you can hear it under the top. I was expecting there to be a guide tube for the capilliary, but that does not seem to be the case. In order to help the tube turn to drop down the back, it looks as though the top would have to be removed but it is firmly stuck down.
    I replaced the stat in an earlier fridge – that was easy with the chiller plate being inside the fridge. But in this RLA50 the chiller is behind the rear wall.
    It has me stumped. Any futher ideas?
