I have identified the problem. One of the “rivets” has popped out of a door hinge and the oven door wasn’t quite closing properly. This oven has a safety device that disconnects the heating element and oven fan when the door is open.

Can’t replace the rivet though as the I can’t get the holes in the hinge to match up. 🙁
