Just wanted to thank you both for your invaluable help. The new evaporator motor was easy to fit and has fixed the problem. I’ve obtained a refund of the call out fee I originally paid to a local repair outfit who had advised me that the freezer was not repairable and that I should buy a new one (preferably from them of course!)

Many thanks both for all of your help. Is the consensus that it’s likely to be the sensor or alternatively the fan, or maybe both!? £56 is a lot less than a new freezer! Cheers

Many thanks for your replies. There are no additional numbers after the PNC number that I’ve quoted above. The other information on the little plaque is:

Ser No 63000035
