    Re: AEG Competence B8340-1-A buttons

Unfortunately not – It appears to be a sealed unit and without a service manual I didnt have confidence on how to get access to the buttons.

I spoke to AEG, they said to get a repair we need to take out an insurance policy with their provider. Took out the policy, only for it to be cancelled since the repair is only covered for up to £250. They wanted over £400 to repair a single button! Ridiculous.

The problem I have is that we have two identical ovens side by side, replacing one with a new model will look stupid.

If anyone is reading this and can help with a repair please shout!

I took the oven apart, but I cannot work out how to gain access to the push buttons. The whole top display section is removable and there are two circuit boards behind this. It looks like I need to remove some of the plastic housing to gain access to the buttons, but I cannot see any way to release this. There are no screws / clips that I can see.

I tried searching for a service manual for this model, but have failed at that as well 🙁

    any suggestions welcome!
