ParticipantTony R – thanks very much for your help. I had already bought the 9590206 Liebher sensor kit so I used that to replace the evaporator sensor. I found the instructions for the 9590084 sensor kit on-line. I connected the new sensor to the existing cable from the PCB using the connector box supplied in kit 9590206 and fed it through the hole at the back of the fridge compartment. I then stuck the new sensor to the back wall roughly about where it would be if I was using the new cover supplied in the 9590084 kit and used some small cable trunking to hold it all in place. Getting access to the PCB was a little awkward but not too much trouble. I removed the two top screws and one middle screw on the grill at the back so I could feed the new sensor cable and push it into the existing cable clips. Fridge and freezer temperatures are OK. Not the most elegant solution but it been working for almost a month now so I am confdent that the issue is resolved.

ParticipantHi Tony
Thanks very much I appreciate you taking the time to reply. Now I need to decide if this is a job I can do. Does the sensor kit come with instructions? I see the sensor cable has a plug so does this just connect directly to the PCB and then just feed through the hole where the air sensor enters thus just bypassing the foamed in sensor? How difficult is it to access the PCB? How would I identify the correct sensor cable on the PCB? It might be obvious when I have a go but actually the Fridge/Freezer is working again now although I am sure it will fail again.
Again thanks for your help.Griffo
ParticipantHi
Can anyone confirm where the fridge evaporator is on this model. Is it foaming in behind the fridge compartment. If so does anyone know the exact location? I can only see two cables running up the back of the fridge section one for the air sensor and one for the Fan and light. Does anyone have experience of changing one of these? Seems like a shame to scrap what was a £700 Fridge Freezer which is otherwise in good condition for the sake of a £25 sensor. Any help or hints from the experts would be much appreciated.
thanks againGriffo
ParticipantHi
I have the new sensor now but need to check where the fridge evaporator sensor is located on this model. I thought it might be behind the light unit in the Fridge but there is only one cable for the light and fan. There is a sensor on the left hand wall under a cover I assumed that this was the air sensor?
thanks

ParticipantHi Tony
Thanks for the response. The error is actually the ‘Super Freeze’ button led flashing and the 9 and 5 Fridge temperature leds flashing along with 4 beeps.
Thanks
