The board in the door provides function selection and progress display, I would be surprised if it also did the sequence logic. A faulty pressure switch would not make sense with an F1 fault code.

However, the machine is repaired and functioning again. It was the main PCB/power strip. I got a new one off ebay programmed by model number for £65.
