    Re: Teka not heating

thats alot of help many thanks, yes that is the core pcb I have fitted took 5 atempts to get the right one and I ended up with two new working ones!
the drum NTC is plastic and has a water tight seal where as the dryer one does not.

Ok I have now linked out the NTC with a 10k resisitor, still the same relay comes only for only a sec. checked all wiring and it is fine including feed to heater.
I must say my gut says NTC but it would be nice to be able to back it up somehow before I throw more money at it.
God give me a 50″ plasma anyday! 😆

PS penguin do you have an manual for this? could you please tell me how many contacts the pressure switch has? I have found the fill contacts and the overflow contacts but are there anymore?
    Many tahnks again

    Re: Teka not heating

    cheers for that,
I have compared the NTC with the dryer one and they read both about the same, as said before relay cuts in and them out again but the main pcb has been changed (in fact twice now!) I am now stuck there is nothing left is there?

    Re: Teka not heating

put it this way I am learning fast 🙂
ok machine fills and as you say then tops up
    goes though a pre wash
after about 10 mins I can hear a relay on the core pcb switch on, and there is then supply to the heater element but after .5 sec relay turns off.

element is reading 27ohm and is working ok, have hooked it up to a supply and heats up.
NTC is reading aprrox 6kohm when heated and when cooled goes to approx 80kohm

I have checked the pressure switch and pipe for blockages which there was nope and switch working on both sets of contacts fine

Condenser pipe was almost blocked but have taken off and cleaned out

    Core pcb has been changed

I am now stuck, I can’t think of anything else to check, but as said I am a brown goods enegineer not white that is why I have come here to get expert help 🙂

I have I missed anything out? any ideas on where I can go now? as you have said I also beleave this to be a Candy machine but unsure of which model.

Ok I have now checked the pressure switch and all seems well there, not blocked and contacts fine, this is a real puzle for me ❓

    Re: Teka not heating

thanks for your fast reply, to answer you no, where would I find them?
    cheers

it goes thought the wash cycle with no problems (about from no heat!), and the dryer side of it is working fine by the way.

    Re: Teka ALS13 not heating

I am still in need of help with this, I have now replaced core pcb, the cutouts on top of the machine and swaped the thermostat above the element. I have also rigged up the element to a mains supply and it heated up so that seems ok. I have now run out of ideas, am I missing anything? and is anybody reading this?
Many thanks for any help you can give.
