Re: Ariston Margherita 2000 – I also have a problem!

    Hi!

I have tested the Pressure switch according to the instructions in the link in my previous post.

    The pressure switch has 4 connections 3 are labeled 1, 2, 3
so these are the ones tested as per instructions:

    2 1 3
    – – –

    No Pressure:
    1 & 2 – Continuity
    1 & 3 – Infinity
    2 & 3 – Infinity

    Pressure:

    1 & 2 – Infinity
    1 & 3 – Continuity
    2 & 3 – Infinity

    So this seems ok.

As far as I can make out the tube is ok.
It is almost impossible to get to, to detach from the bottom of the drum
with out having no bones or turning the machine on its side (is that an ok thing to do??)
Blew down and seems ok, and Water started coming up the tube when I sucked.

When I tried the machine again it starts to try and wash when the pressure switch clicks, but then almost immediately stops.

Where do I go from here?

Can I adjust the pressure switch?
I noticed there are adjustments on it.

Or is it likely to be another problem?

    Cheers

    Hi!

Have found this link on the web:

    http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/washer/check/waterlevel.php

Would this be the correct way of checking the pressure valve on my machine?

(Also what is the best way of getting at bottom of hose to detach from the drum to test and reattach, see previous post).

If the Air Hose is faulty where do I get a replacement and how much?
If the Pressure Value is faulty where do I get a replacement and how much?

    Cheers

    Thanks for replying!

I have looked online to find out what the pressure switch is and does and the air hose attached to it.

How do I identify this pressure switch and it’s associated air hose?
(I think it is the part located on the right side at the top with a thin black hose running below the drum??)

One identified, how do I check to see if it is functioning correctly, and what is the best way of detaching the hose to see if it has any air holes?
(I have only opened the top of the machine so far, what is best way to get at the bottom of the air hose as it is under the drum? (assuming it is the correct hose i have identified)).

    Many thanks

Re: Ariston Margherita 2000 – I also have a problem!

    Hi!

I have just started having a problem with my Ariston Margherita 2000.
I put on a cycle (any cycle seems to have the problem) and the machine takes in water, stops, takes in more water.
Then it attempts to start to move the drum round and rinse the clothes and the drum stops (it usually makes about an 8th turn before it stops).
It then sits there for a second or two, then starts pumping the water out again.
It does this for a bit then stops, after which you can open the door.
When it starts pumping the water out the dial starts turning round and clicking. I counted 10 flashes.

The mashine is an AWD 10 UK Advantage.

I have read other forum items and checked the coin tray (found a 20p)
Cleared coin tray and machine still has problem.

I checked the outlet hose, and moved it up so it was not all the way down the waste pipe. Tried again still no change.

Also: I have found that I can do a spin cycle ok and a drying cycle ok.

    Please help!! 😥

    Thanks.
