    Re: Another Hotpoint Heat Problem

Got the local repairman out who told me it was the PCB which makes sense cos everything else checks out. He has just informed me that a replacement is not available. Before I give up thought I’d ask if anyone knows if it is possible to source one from somewhere. Details are:
    Hotpoint CTD 40P
    S/N 503281046

There is also a bar code on the board itself with the following number printed on:
    5632003055M7PC
Note writing is small: 6 may be an 8 and P may be an F (perhaps i just need glasses)

    Re: Another Hotpoint Heat Problem

Thanks guys. Gave the condenser etc really good clean through. Also checked wiring through to pump and full water switch – all seem OK. I can hear pump kicking in OK and it runs until the error lights come on, when heating goes off although drum continues to turn. There was some lint about so took circuit board out and cleaned a little lint off it. Examined it for obvious sign of blown component, short circuit etc but couldn’t see anything. Put back together and switched on. Only difference is now fault is more predictable and occurs on both low and high heat.

I am at the limit of my capabilities so unless anyone has any pointers I will be calling in my local appliance engineer after the holiday.

    Thanks for help so far!
