Hi there,
I have a slightly different problem to the one above but i think the problem still lies in the suspension arms. Before a spin, these washing machines sense whether or not the bowl has reengaged. Mine is telling me that it hasn’t even when it actually has. I watch it with the lid off and the outer is moving in unison with the inner. However, if i hold onto the not rotating cover to the outer bowl to stop it from moving during these pulses, the machine is happy and begins its spin cycle. Also when it first accelerates the spin cycle, it often throws the whole assembly around a fair bit. Im not sure if that is normal either.
Is there anything you are aware of that would cause the outer of the bowl to throw so violently?

Not sure, but i sorted the problem. I had missed one of the 3 plugs on the motor when i reassembled it. I have another machine however showing:
3rd light from left, first rinse light, spin light. This is in diagnostic mode and on a gw501. Any ideas on this one, i think the main board might be faulty.Just quickly that sequence of lights above, is that 10100100? have i caught onto this binary code thing right?
