    from what I see the fascia moulding overlaps the lid so I assume that the top is secured from the rear of the machine? Is this the only way of getting to the switch contacts? is the control knob not designed to be removed as I would recon if the the PCB were to be replaced the knob would need to come off?

    Because I can’t work out how that happens either; apart from couple of screws in the detergent drawer (which I didn’t want to just remove as I have no idea what is behind) there are no other screws/clips in evidence.
