Thank you for all your help, Tony. I was told that there are no fitting instructions included with this part. I am concerned about proper positioning of the small white housing (sensor is to be clamped inside) on the rear wall of the fridge. I could not find something useful online. Do you know if there is a service information issued that could help in this repair?

The temperature sensor recommended for this model is the following:

As this comes in a kit form, there must be some modification made by the manufacturer, probably concerning the placement of the sensor inside the small box provided instead of its usual place (under a small cover located next to the lamp housing with the sensor in contact with the back of the fridge). The 2nd sensor is inside the lamp housing.

I would very much appreciate it if you could send me instructions for proper fitting of this kit-sensor or point me in the direction of a service manual.

Many thanks for your promt reply, Tony. I understand you are an expert on Liebherr fridges. Am I correct in thinking that a faulty sensor is causing these problems or should I consider checking something else as well.
