All done and put back together. Everything spins smoothly. Christ it was hard to get the belt on!
Next wash will tell if the heaters are still working or not, my guess is not!

There was genuinely no way a professional would have been able to get that fan off any other way than I did. I’ve worked on bikes and cars for years and come across many stubborn things but this wasn’t coming off, believe. I had a few ‘handy men’ in the family have a look and nobody could get it off. I was more worried the spindle was gonna come out of the motor thats how hard we pulled at it! We tried everything!
Also, with the element it appears someones knocked it.

Unfortunately there was no space to get at it from behind. I tried everything and told the mother I was gonna have to destroy it to get it off.
I was going to saw it off but decided to chisel all the way down one side of the splits. It ended up coming off. The splines are full of crap and the whole lot has rusted all together, no wonder why it was stuck! Gonna still try and re use it and keep costs low as it appears someone in the house has stood on or crushed the heating element, all of the rods are cracked! Anywhere I can get it cheaper than £45?
Cheers for all the advice!

This is getting seriously stupid. There is no way I can get at it from the back but I’ve prised the parts as much as I can, not happening. I’ve put a long screwdriver right through and pulled that to give me more leverage, won’t move a mm. I’ve tried to push it off the spline from above.
Dunno what to do. I’ve soaked it in WD-40 but I’m out of ideas. Annoyed cos I hate being defeated!

Christ, bit like that is it.
Okay, I’m gonna give it some pushing then, here’s hoping!
Cheers for your help!
