No change in the amount of detergent – or brand for that matter – so I’m inclined to think the problem lies elsewhere.

If the production date (FD) number is 8303401029, does that mean it was made in 2003?

Anyway, back to observations….

Machine is tumbling and spinning at the end. Cold water coming through on the rinse programme and drains fully in about half a minute. Checked the pump – no clinker in there and it turns freely.And my good lady did a “service wash” (as you described)very recently…

And the last wash seemed to be fine!

So could this be an intermittent fault with the carbon brushes becoming worn, and the motor sometimes working and sometimes not?
