    Re: Almost dead Beko

Have you checked the brushes on the motor. Beko’s lock up the moment the motor stops responding.

Thanks for all your help. I really do appreciate it. Just can’t understand why they ship a replacement board without the correct programmed eprom already on it – wots the point! I would apprecaite the photo’s. Thanks once again, you are all very kind.

    is the eprom number

UNLESS you fitted the new type board which needs programming with a smart card?

what was the part number of the board u put on?

    Hi Guys,
The PCB is part no. MERC00143 067 and stamped EDT0095.6 Low End. There is one small 8 pin DIL package in the upper left quadrant of the PCB, this is marked U2. The IC has no markings on it. The old board did not have this IC fitted. On the new board there are two riser boards, one in the lower left quadrant marked U1. This has a square surface mount Quad package on it type TK30246, two small 16 pin DIL packages type ULN2003A and a host of discrete componants. The board is stamped EDT0101.3. The other riser board is fitted in the U5 slot just to the left of the heat sink. has a couple of caps and a coil fitted and a small 8 pin DIL package. Both boards are fully soldered to the main PCB. I did try the new board without the U2 IC in place so as to match the original but this prevented the board from working at all. Sorry to be so long winded but it is driving me nuts 😥

    Thanks for the info,

I have looked at the board but I am unable to locate the memory chip you refer to as there does not appear to be any removeable chips 🙁 Am I missing something? Hope you can help me sort it out.

    Re: Beko WMA 1510

A point worth thinking about, if the original bearings were in a bad state there is a possibility that the drum shaft will have been badly scored this can then lead to oil spots etc. not what the customer wants and at £50+ makes for an expensive repair in total. Also don’t forget to replace the tub gasket (as opposed to door gasket) if you are renewing the tub as they are not supplied automatically. 😯
