    You were right, partial blockage on the inlet pipe to the pump – long ball of the missus’ hair!

    I put it all back together and it worked a treat, so a massive thank you!!

    As a test I did another drying cycle and noticed that the machine wasn’t draining whilst it did this. I took the waste water pipe out of the drainage pipe work (where it runs up the wall and does a U-bend into the drain) an ran it flat at floor level out of the utility room floor, and to my surprise it then successfully completed a full drying cycle! I put the waste water pipe back into the main drainage pipe and the washing came out wet again.

    Could it be that the pump isn’t working properly, but if that’s the case how come the washing cycles drain?

    Any ideas hugely appreciated as I am more baffled than before now.

    Thanks for your response.

    It looks like three solenoids…? I took the pipe off the rear of th drum faring and there is cold water coming through, so the solenoid is working.

    There is no error message.

    I need to get some star drivers if I am to take the heater unit off.
