ParticipantRe: Problem with VTD60 – just 3 beeps
Ok I removed the cob in the base and all looked clean and tested continuity wherever I could and no dry joints.
Still getting 3 beeps though. I bridged out the door switch no change…
Is there anything else I can test? There appears to be some test connectors accessible through the front plate. Can these be tested for anything?
I’d really rather not bin it to be honest but it’ll be cheaper to buy a new one then get a repair person out to it if I can’t track the fault down.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Cheers for the help so far.
Tonights job is to do some testing of the PCB (once I get to it – I had to put it all back together as the wife said it looked a mess in pieces!)
Any idea where I might get a wiring diagram?

Thanks again for your replt iadom.
Ok, so next test is the PCB for dry joints or similar. Can I assume that as changing the selector alters the display and buttons work etc that both PCB’s are/should be fine and it is possibly just a loose joint on the board?
Where would you go from here in diagnosing it?

Ah, I never considered that.
Yes the checks out ok.
I could check the pcb to ensure there aren’t any dry joints. Is this heard of? Does anyone know if my readings for the NTC’s are correct?
Thanks
