Sorry to all who responded ,for not replying earlier, replaced stat with a known original/good one from a friend of mine, now all seems ok, many many thanks to you all ,,least now i have somewhere i can put the ex wife 🙂 lol once again many many thanks peeps

many thanks for the rapide response guys,,the stat is identical to the original apart from the wiring conection 6 which is present on the universal but not on the original the numbers for the stats are original :K59 P6808 (Ranco) and K59 L1102-002 (Ranco) the only major length is the capillary @ 72mm on the original and 1200mm on universal however i was assured that if i looped the capillary around back plate and terminated in the same place as original all would be ok,,i have run the F/F over night nice build up of ice around back plate but still no cut off running all the time,,if its not the stat what could it be it shuts off and restarts ok with defrost switch on the stat 😯 😕 the F/F itself is a LEC T-424-SL as per the original post,,many thanx for your help and time so far,,
